The Founder
Hi, I'm Shauna
I created Bowyliss because I know what it feels like to have done everything right and still feel like something's missing. I spent years building a career grounded in science (Pharmacology, Public Health) and leadership. When all that I was taught had stopped working, I slowly became aware that there was a deeper intelligence that I hadn't learned to access.
The LIVES framework (Love, Intuition, Values, Energy, and Surrender) is what emerged when I stopped overriding that inner knowing and started integrating it with everything I'd learned.
My role isn't to tell you what to believe. It's to help you develop the capacity to hear your own inner guide, and trust what it's telling you.
The Story
A journey of self-reflection
I created Bowyliss (pronounced bow-why-liss, like "bow" as in a bowtie, "why", and "liss" like "bliss") after a year of personal struggle.
Filled with anxiety and not knowing how to move forward, I started taking daily walks, listened to podcasts, read, and did guided meditations. I let my curiosity move me. Instead of taking frantic action to avoid my uncomfortable feelings, I sat with everything. I calmed my nervous system and reprogrammed limiting beliefs.
Eventually, I heard my internal voice that seemed to know the right answers. I remained still, listened, and took daily action from my heart space instead of my anxious mind.
Serendipitously, I came across scientific evidence supporting the concepts I was learning. The evidence pointed to the idea that understanding and connecting to self enables connection to a greater, underlying source of knowledge. Most importantly, it gave me permission to believe.
I don't have all the answers, but I have endless curiosity to delve deeper, and I want to share the journey and pique your curiosity too.
